Wow it's been a very long week. It actually started last week when Chrys got croup. Kit's cold kicked back into gear over the weekend, and Kyle came home Monday with pink eye. I made it to school on Friday, Saturday, and a half-day Monday. THANKFULLY it's a work at your own pace during the week, and since I was ahead, it didn't hurt me to have to miss.
Thanksgiving was okay this year. Chrys and Kit made a Thanksgiving Day Feast on the back deck. Yummy dirt, sand, and dead leaves. It was way cute. We all sat down to enjoy which they were happy about.
My feast was yummy. (I know, BIG SHOCKER!) I had help this year which was nice. We did the traditional tablecloth where we all write what we are thankful for. It was neat to look over it and read from years before. Grandma Reed's was on it and that hit a sweet spot for me. Chrys decided, since she was forbidden to scribble out a big square, that Adam's writing should be covered up by the green bean casserole. Everyone cleaned up, and we went downstairs to watch a movie as the 'entire' family. Kit snuggled up with me while Chrys, Ky, and Travis sat on the couch. We watched Journey to the Center of the Earth w/Brendan Frasier and had a good time. Cute show.
Yesterday was setting up Christmas decorations and OH MY WORD it took all day. 2/4 strands of my lights didn't work, so Travis put some on his work account, which was nice. While I worked on the tree the kids worked on the garland. All of their cute homemade ornaments, or ones that just don't work on the tree go there. They loved picking out an ornament and hearing the story about it. Like the Nutcracker ones I bought on ebay, which are just like the ones I had growing up. THEY LOVED IT.
Chrystal and Travis made a big nativity from the hand puppets Sandy made. They put them on old Mt.Dew bottles Uncle Spencer dropped off. I think I actually found a purpose for those things since every year the kids act out the story. The real question is, by Christmas, will it still look that way?
All in all it was a good holiday, but I am still melancholy. I didn't celebrate it with the people I wanted to and it makes me sad. Telling myself that this is the last Thanksgiving like this...the last Christmas. Hopefully the mantra will kick in soon. All my love guys, and Happy Holiday.

For Maria, Mom, and Barbra...my blog readers/supporters/biotches lol
Okay ladies, this is a boring update...just for you!!
School is going good. I now have week 2 under my belt. The push is on to be through in 5 months. Wish me luck on that. CNA starts Saturday the 22nd. When that is done, I'm gonna work on coding...I think.
Jeremy's fiance arrived from Australia on Thursday. She's such a sweetheart and I could hear his smile over the phone. LOL It's as bad as Mom and Dad I think. All gushing on each other.
Grandma Reed passed away on Friday. As sad as it is I'm glad she is no longer suffering, and Grandpa's suffering is over as well. She hadn't been herself in over a year, and she no longer recognized him.
Today was the huge yard sale. It went really well and my house is once again decluttered. (yeah yeah, except for my desk WHICH is a genetic trait I got from my darling mother.) I sold some crappy mattress, that everyone expected us to be stuck with, for $2.00. WOOHOO go me. The only thing I don't understand about the day is how I got sunburned while freezing my butt off. My already red cheeks are so sore.
Well that's all from the life of the boring. I did get my hair cut this week, and bought some new nail polish. My toe-flowers are still in perfect shape which makes me happy, but my fingers need some attention.
Gonna fold some kiddy clothes while watching PS I Love You Hey, I told you my life is boring.
